Breaking Sales News: Feadship Superyacht HALO Sold
09.30.2021
After less than two months on the market, Kitson Yachts has announced the sale of the 57.47-metre superyacht HALO. Built by leading Dutch shipyard, Feadship, this pedigree yacht offers exquisite interiors coupled with state-of-the-art cruising technology.
WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT SUPERYACHT HALO?
Built in 2015, M/Y HALO features exterior design by London-based Harrison Eidsgaard, one of the most sought-after names in superyacht design. Led by directors Peder and Ewa Eidsgaard and Ben Harrison, they aim to make a superyacht feel like a home away from home, created around the owner’s lifestyle requirements. Their success is partly due to their freehand sketching method with clients, who benefit from seeing their ideas evolve and materialise before them.
De Voogt Naval Architects created her naval architecture, and her interior design was done by Bernardi + Peschard, based in Mexico City. They are best known for their residential projects characterised by elegance, luxury, and exceptional attention to detail.

DESIGNED FOR WORLD CRUISING
BEAUTIFUL INTERIORS
The beautiful interiors they created for M/Y HALO feature light oak, dark woods, and plenty of bronze inlays in a thoroughly modern but sumptuous style, based on a palette of whites and neutrals.
Motor yacht HALO accommodates up to 12 guests across six generously proportioned staterooms, including a main-deck owner’s suite with its own private office. In addition, there is a VIP cabin on the bridge deck, while the additional four cabins are located between the main deck and the bridge deck, along with a well-equipped gym. There is also accommodation for a crew of 14.
A large L-shaped sofa, located at the main aft deck offers ample space for entertaining and lounging, while a custom Jacuzzi provides the perfect spot for relaxation.
READY FOR THE WORLD
HALO is equipped with two custom eight-metre Compass tenders and comes with a wide range of water toys and scuba diving equipment. She also boasts a touch-and-go helipad at her bow.
Destined for world cruising, she is powered by twin MTU diesel engines and can comfortably cruise at 14 knots, reaching a top speed of 16.0 knots. In addition, she has an explorer-worthy range of 5,000 nautical miles.
“Halo was sourced off-market,” says a Kitson Yachts’ representative. “We are very proud of this sale, particularly given the competitive landscape of today’s marketplace.”

SURGE IN SUPERYACHT SALES
Superyacht sales surged in late 2020 when an increase in brokerage activity resulted in December becoming the second strongest single month for brokerage sales since 2009, according to BOAT Pro data.
The month’s 57 sales eclipsed the 42 recorded in December 2019 and the 38 in 2018. Figures show that the second half of 2020 was the best six months for brokerage sales since 2009, while the fourth quarter of the year was also the best on record.
Brokers are putting this surge down to the pandemic, with the world’s wealthiest travellers becoming frustrated with lockdowns and restrictions. The easing of Coronavirus restrictions in the latter half of 2020 gave people a chance to inspect yachts, spurring activity. As one broker put it, “there’s no greater freedom than the navigation of the seas.”

With her generous range, HALO’s new owner is set to enjoy the kind of freedom most can only dream of.
